Dear Friends and Neighbors, Like many residents in House District 102, my family and I have called this district home for more than 30 years. With vibrant neighborhoods and a strong sense of community, our part of Texas is one of the best places to raise a family, own a home, and build a successful career. House District 102 matters when it comes to the value we place on our daily lives. It is my pleasure to serve as the new representative in the Texas Legislature. I know that House District 102 constituents deserve a strong voice for those issues that matter most to us. I stand for: - Strengthening public education

Rep. Kent in the RISD In May, state Representative Carol Kent presented retiring RISD trustee, David Tyson, with a resolution from Governor Rick Perry, for his service on the Richardson ISD School Board. The governor commissioned Trustee David Tyson, Jr., an admiral in the Texas Navy, which is the highest honor the state can bestow on an individual for service to Texas. Also in May, at the last meeting of the Richardson school board for the 2009-2010 school year, former RISD board member, Rep.
